Wojtek Gierlach will perform Sparafucile (Rigoletto) at the Polish National Opera

Bass Wojtek Gierlach will participate in the opera Rigoletto, singing the role of Sparafucile, at the Wielki Theater in Warsaw on March 24th, 25th, 26th and 28th.
The plot of Rigoletto, one of Giuseppe Verdi's most popular operas, is based on a prose piece by Victor Hugo (Le roi s'amuse) and the road to the operatic stage was long and bumpy: it began in 1844 and ended seven years after.
In charge of the musical direction will be the Maestro Patrick Fournillier and the staging, premiered in 1997 with an attractive stage design (Ezio Frigerio) and costumes (Franca Squarciapino), bears the signature of Gilbert Deflo.
