Teatro Real unveils 22/23 Season

The Teatro Real has announced its 22/23 season, in which some of our artists will participate, such as Gregory Kunde, Karina Demurova or José Coca, among others.
The opening of the season will take place at the Teatros del Canal due to a series of renovations in the theater concerning the floor of the stage. The work that opens the season will be "Orphée" by Philip Glass, with five performances at the end of September, and which will be staged for the first time in the season of the Teatro Real. In the cast we want to highlight Karina Demurova, who will play the role of Aglaonice under the baton of Jordi Francés and with a stage direction signed by Rafael R. Villalobos.
In December, Gregory Kunde will star in a concert with Carlos Álvarez in which they will perform arias and duets by Verdi, Puccini and Bizet, among others, and will be accompanied by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid under the direction of Diego Martin-Etxebarria.
In 2023, José Coca will sing the role of Licomede in the opera "Achille in Sciro" by Francesco Corselli. This opera is a premiere in the season of the Teatro Real and will be conducted by Ivor Bolton, while the staging will be signed by Mariame Clément.
