Ramón Vargas returns to Japan to perform Pollione at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and the Biwako Hall

Mexican tenor Ramón Vargas begins a mini-tour in Japan to perform the role of Pollione from the opera Norma. He will be joined by soprano Francesca Dotto as Norma and Aya Wakizono as Adalgisa.
Maestro Fabrizio Maria Carminati will conduct the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. As for the scenery, Stefania Bonfadelli will be in charge of the scenography, being a co-production of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
After recently celebrating 40 years of career and celebrating them in a special gala at the Main Hall of the Palace of Fine Arts, the Mexican tenor will debut the role of Pollione. This is not the first time Ramón Vargas has sung in Japan, as on previous occasions he has performed Rigoletto, Der Rosenkavalier, La Traviata or Verdi's Requiem.
Performances will take place on November 3 and 5 at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and on November 11 at the Biwako Hall.
