Rámon Vargas closes the season of the Teatre Principal de Palma with "Les Contes d'Hoffmann"

The opera season at Palma's Teatre Principal comes to an end this week with Offenbach's opera "Les contes d'Hoffmann", in which Ramón Vargas plays the title role.
The Mexican tenor has already achieved great success with this same role, having performed it in no less than seven productions, including those of the Paris Opera, Vienna and the MET Opera in New York.
Completing the cast are Simón Orfila as the Four Villains, Pauline Texier as Olympia, Marta Bauzà as Giulietta, Marga Cloquell as Antonia, Annalisa Stroppa as Nicklausse, Joan Gabriel Riera as Nathanael / Spalazani, Carlos Daza as Hermann / Schemil, Joan Miquel Muñoz as Luther / Crespel, Josep Fadò as Andrés / Cochenille / Frantz / Pitichinaccio, Natalia Salom as Stela and Sebastià Serra as Wilhem.
The production is signed by Vincent Huguet and comes from the Opéra National de Bordeaux. As for the musical direction, Yi Chen Lin will lead the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands.
There are three performances scheduled, the premiere will be tonight, June 8, and the following will be on June 10 and 12.
