Ramón Vargas celebrates 40 years of career

On September 10, tenor Ramón Vargas will give concert at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his debut at the emblematic theater. On this occasion, several interviews have been published on radio, television and specialized press, such as that of the Mexican magazine Pro Ópera and on television with Joaquín López-Dóriga, as well as articles in El Heraldo de México describing his triumphs and highlights throughout his career.
At the concert, Vargas will be accompanied by members of the Estudio de la Ópera de Bellas Artes (EOBA), which he founded, and its current artistic director, soprano María Katzarava. Iván López-Reynoso will conduct the theater's resident Orchestra and Choir.
The program will be a recapitulation of his career. Among them are arias from Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio and Don Giovanni, Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck, Il viaggio a Reims and La Cenerentola by Rossini, La bohème by Puccini, L'elisir d'amore and Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti, Carmen by Bizet, I Lombardi, Il trovatore, I due foscari and Attila by Giuseppe Verdi, among others.
