At the concert, Vargas will be accompanied by members of the Estudio de la Ópera de Bellas Artes (EOBA), which he founded, and its current artistic director, soprano María Katzarava. Iván López-Reynoso will conduct the theater's resident Orchestra and Choir.
The program will be a recapitulation of his career. Among them are arias from Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio and Don Giovanni, Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck, Il viaggio a Reims and La Cenerentola by Rossini, La bohème by Puccini, L'elisir d'amore and Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti, Carmen by Bizet, I Lombardi, Il trovatore, I due foscari and Attila by Giuseppe Verdi, among others.
