Rafael Sánchez-Araña conducts the Symphonic Orchestra of Las Palmas

The Canarian musical group Los Gofiones presents on October 28 and 29 a tour of its repertoire with symphonic arrangements and the accompaniment of the orchestra, under the direction of Rafael Sánchez-Araña. The group, with 55 years of history and 22 albums released, which has demonstrated throughout this time a commitment to research, rescue, creation and dissemination of Canary Island folklore, will perform for the occasion a unique version of their most important songs.
Throughout their career, Los Gofiones have been recognized with the Premio Canarias in 2018 in the modality of Popular Culture, with the Gold Medal of the Canary Islands 2002, with the Silver Roque Nublo of Gran Canaria in 1999 and with the Silver Medal of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1996.
The Orquesta Sinfónica de Las Palmas accompanies the group in arrangements that combine the Canarian folk music of Los Gofiones with the spectacularity of the orchestra. The concerts will take place on October 28th and 29th at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
