April 4th, 2024
Dani Howard's first album was released on 22 March, featuring a selection of works such as Trombone Concerto, Argentum, Ellipsis, Coalescence, and Arches, with maestro Pablo Urbina as musical director.
Winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society Award, composer Dani Howard includes Argentum as a commission from Classic FM to celebrate its 25th anniversary as a radio station. For the recording of the last three pieces, Ellipsis, Coalescence, and Arches, she has been joined by Pablo Urbina, who has conducted the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic on this occasion.
Previously, Pablo Urbina and Dani Howard had collaborated in 2020 on a project commissioned by Antoni Gaudí's Casa Batlló in Barcelona, in which they recorded a work by Howard with members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Radio Symphony and the Deutsche Oper Berlin, conducted by Pablo Urbina.
The album is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming platforms.
