Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, he began his studies in cello and singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Tenerife, where he graduated with the highest marks.
He has refined his vocal technique with singers such as Montserrat Caballé, Celso Albelo, Francesca Roig, Piero Visconti, and Isabel Rey, with whom he took a masterclass at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid in 2017, and from whom he also received training for the Lyric Gala held at the Auditorio Jameos del Agua in Lanzarote, directed by Pancho Corujo. During his training, he has also worked with artists such as Raquel Lojendio, Ana María Sánchez, Isabel Penagos, Yolanda Auyanet, and Manuel Cid. He is currently working on his vocal technique with Maestro Juan Lomba.
He has worked with conductors such as Giampaolo Bisanti, Evelino Pidò, Paolo Arrivabeni, Christopher Franklin, Vincent Monteil, and Aldo Sisillo, among others.
In the operatic repertoire, since his debut in 2013 as Normanno in the production of Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro Guimerá in Tenerife, he has performed roles such as Parpignol in La Bohème (2014) and Brühlmann in Werther (2016) alongside tenor Celso Albelo, both works at the Auditorio Adán Martín, as well as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, in the show Malizia by Carmen Mota, at the Pirámides de Arona during the 2015-2016 season.
He has also performed Il Lamento di Federico in a gala with Celso Albelo at the Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
In 2016, he was among the finalists at the Palau de Les Arts Training Center in Valencia. His participation in the project Ópera en Familia allowed him in 2017 to face the challenge of performing three solo roles in the same work, bringing to life the characters Spalanzani, Pitichinaccio, and Crespel in the opera Les contes d’Hoffmann at the Auditorio de Tenerife. In 2018, he performed the role of Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Auditorio de Tenerife, where he also sang the role of the Prince of Persia in Turandot during the 2018/19 Tenerife Opera season.
In zarzuela, he has performed works such as La del Manojo de Rosas, playing Ricardo in 2015, and Las de Caín, as Marín, in 2017, at the Teatro Guimerá.
In 2020, he was selected for the Opera Studio of the Opéra National du Rhin for the 2020/21 season in Strasbourg. At the Strasbourg Opera, he performed the role of the Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Lenz in the operetta Friederike, and the main role of Pierre in Madame Chrysantheme, among others. In 2021, he was awarded at the Grand Prix de la Voix in Nice, whose prize includes a recital at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
Some of his most recent notable performances include the role of El Remendado in Carmen at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid, alongside the RTVE Symphony Orchestra and Choir, in the season finale “Echoes of the Belle Époque”; the role of Malcolm in Macbeth at the Opera of Marseille; and a season-opening concert at the Opera of Nice.
Among his recent and upcoming engagements are Les contes d’Hoffmann at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Adriana Lecouvreur at Teatro Cervantes in Málaga, Norma at Teatro de la Maestranza, Gran Vía and Adiós a la Bohemia in the Oviedo Zarzuela Season, Pagliacci at the Opera of Limoges, Aida at the Opéra de Rouen and Teatro de la Maestranza, La del Manojo de Rosas at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, and Carmen at the Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur.
