We are pleased to announce mezzo-soprano Ana Ibarra joins our roster of artists. From GoDirect we would like to thank her for the trust she has placed in us to manage the next steps of her artistic career.
Ana Ibarra has developed an intense international career, collaborating regularly with the Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona and the Teatro Real de Madrid, as well as with the Canadian Opera Company, Mariinsky Theatre, La Monnaie in Brussels, Dutch National Opera, Theater an der Wien, English National Opera, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Vlaamse Opera, Wielki Theater, Opera de Oviedo, ABAO Ópera de Bilbao or Maestranza in Seville, among others.
She combines her operatic performances with concerts and recitals with a repertoire that includes Requiem by G. Verdi, Wesendonk Lieder by R. Wagner, Symphonies No. 2 and No. 3 by G. Mahler, 7 Popular Songs by M. de Falla, or the Sieben Frühe Lieder by A. Berg.
Her repertoire has been expanding and evolving throughout her career, currently focusing her activity on the traditional mezzo-soprano leading roles such as Carmen, Dalila (Samson et Dalila), Amneris (Aida) or Azucena (Il Trovatore), or the main roles that have been written throughout the 20th century such as Judith in Bluebeard Castle (Bartok) or Jocasta in Oedipus Rex (Stravinsky).
