Since 1995 he has been musical and artistic director of the Orquesta de Cámara de la Sinfónica de Galicia, an activity he has combined with his work as concertmaster of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia since 1993. His repertoire ranges from baroque through classicism to Stravinsky. He has conducted, among others, the Academy of Ancient Music at the Philarmonia in Munich and England, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès at the Palau de Barcelona, Orquestra do Norte de Portugal, Orchestra Sinfónica de San Remo, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia with Fauré's Requiem, Sinfónica de Bilbao and the PforzeimerKammerorchester. In 2011 he conducted in Germany at the Rossini Festival in Bad-Wilbald Ser Marcantonio and was invited to the Ingolstadt Festival to conduct, among other things, La Cambiale di Matrimonio and several symphonic programmes.
Born in Lanciano (Italy), he graduated in conducting with M. Donato Renzetti. He obtained the "Cum Laude" violin diploma of his country. Later he obtained a soloist diploma at the University of Utrecht under the guidance of Viktor Libermnan and Philippe Hirschhorn.
As concertmaster and soloist and in various ensembles he has performed in the most important concert halls in Europe, the United States, America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. He has been present at festivals and seasons in Berlin, Salzburg, Milan, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Montpellier, Wiesbaden, Amsterdam, Florence, Barcelona, Munich, Naples... with Victoria Mullova, Katia and Marielle Labéque, Cristian Zacharias, Enrico Dindo, Alexander Lonquich as well as with Gerard Depardieu and Alessandro Baricco. She has also performed as a soloist at the Concertgebouw under the baton of Nathalie Stuzman.
He devotes much of his activity to early music on original instruments and to research, participating in the publication of numerous volumes of baroque music with the Camerata Anxanum, an Italian baroque orchestra of which he is a founding member.
He has recorded with various labels, such as Sony, Opus 111, Bongiovanni, and Auvidis Astrèe, and with the latter he received the "Choc Musique" award for his recording of sonatas by Reickard. On the Naxos label he has recorded the three quartets by J.C. de Arriaga with the Camerata Boccherini, an ensemble he founded. Also with the Ensemble Zefiro, with original instruments, he has recorded a CD of Mozart concertos and another of Fasch concertos for the Harmonia Mundi label.
