Derri began his musical career as a pianist in his hometown of Krivoy Rog (Ukraine) and, shortly before finishing his piano studies at the conservatory, he began taking singing lessons. He continued his studies as a singer at the Tchaikovsky Music Academy in kyiv.
At the end of 2009 he moved to Spain to study at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Valencia under the guidance of Professor Ana Luisa Chova and the repertoire professor Carles Budó. In the meantime he took courses in baroque singing with David Manson and Richard Levitt. In 2013 he completed his higher education studies and began a master's degree in “Opera Interpretation” at the Conservatorio Superior de Valencia, which he completed in 2014.
He has received numerous awards, including the second prize at the “Antonio Cesti Baroque Opera Competition 2015” in Innsbruck (with his interpretation of Handel’s operatic music, which has received excellent reviews from many experts in the field of baroque music) and the first prize at the “Los nombres nuevos” competition in kyiv. He has been a finalist and has won the promotion prize at the “16th Feruccio Tagliavini International Singing Competition” (Deutschlandsberg, Austria). In addition, he has been awarded at the “Martín y Soler” International Singing Competition in Polinya de Xúquer (Valencia).
Among his most recent works are Monteverdi’s Il Ritorno di Ulisse in patria (Amore) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with Ottavio Dantone and produced by Robert Carsen, which was subsequently released on CD and DVD; Giulio Cesare in Egitto at the Theater an der Wien with Ivor Bolton and Keith Warner, released on DVD; Vivaldi’s Orlando Furioso (Medoro) at the Festival della Valle d’Itria with Diego Fasolis; Handel’s Teseo (Arcane) at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow with Federico Sardelli; Carmina Burana at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, arranged by Wilhem Killmayer; Dusapin’s Medeamaterial at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna with Marco Angius; Rinaldo (Rinaldo), by Handel at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera (cover), at the Chemnitz Opera House and the Joaquín Rodrigo Auditorium in Valencia; Dido and Aeneas (Sorcerer and Spirit), by Purcell at the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Valencia Auditorium and the Roman Theatre in Malaga with Aarón Zapico, and also at the Theater Vorpommern in Stralsund (Germany); Giulio Cesare(Tolomeo), by Handel at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Oviedo Auditorium and Allee Theater Hamburger Kammeroper; Reimann's L'invisible at the Staatstheater Braunschweig with Tatjana Gürbaca; Cesti's Le Nozze in sogno (Scorbio), world premiere at the 40th Innsbruck Early Music Festival with Enrico Onofri; La dori (Bagoa), by Cesti at the Innsbruck Early Music Festival with Ottavio Dantone, recorded and released on CD and DVD; Farinelli, the castrato of King Felipe (Farinelli) adapted by Gustavo Tambascio at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid; Orfeo y Euridice (Orfeo), by Gluck, at the premiere in kyiv, at the Joaquín Rodrigo Auditorium in Valencia and at the Odessa Opera Theater; The Greatest Triumph of the Greatest War (Luzeyo) by M. Ferreira, world premiere of the opera at the XV International Festival of Ancient and Baroque Music in Peñíscola; Le faucon (Alcide), by Bortnianskiy at the Lviv Opera with Oksana Lyniv and Farinelli vs Carestini at the Carlos III Theatre in Aranjuez, with stage direction by Federico Figueroa.

Scarlatti at the Seville Early Music Festival with Aarón Zapico - Forma Antiqva; Carmina Burana by Carl Orff at Baluarte in Pamplona with the Orchestra of the Teatro Real and conducted by Luis Méndez-Chaves, at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Gran Teatro in Córdoba, the Torrente Auditorium and the Calderón Theatre in Alcoy; Stabat Mater (Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Haydn) at the Guimarães International Festival of Religious Music, and also at the Requena Festival and the Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia with the early music group Música Trobada; a recital at the Zaragoza Early Music Festival; opera concerts at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia, the 75th San Sebastian Musical Fortnight Festival, the Allee Theater Hamburger Kammeroper, the Schloss Rheinsber Kammeroper Festival, the LvivMozArt Festival in Lvi; recitals at the Odessa Opera House, the ESCM and the Toccata en A hall in Madrid; a presentation concert for the CD Joan Cabanilles, la Música d´un Temps, which was recorded with the Grup Valencià de Música Antiga 'Música Trobada' at the Palau de la Música in Valencia; and a Christmas concert in the columned hall of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (kyiv), conducted by the orchestra's principal conductor, Nikolai Dyadyura.
