Born in Ferrol (Spain) in 1991, he is graduated at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (BMus and PGMus) where he has been trained under the tutelage of Ryland Davies and Francisco Araiza. He has received master classes in acting and repertoire with some of the best singers, conductors and stage directors, such as Ruggero Raimondi, Leigh Melrose, Teresa Berganza, Juliane Banse, Sarah Connolly, Stephan Degout, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Alberto Zedda, or Justin Way.
He has been awarded with several prizes such as the first prize at the “Amigos de la ópera de Santiago de Compostela” Competition in 2014, the 3rd Prize at the “Ciudad de Logroño” International Singing Competition in 2019, the 3rd Prize at the Albacete National Competition in 2021 and the prize for his performance in Pagliacci at the Capri Opera Festival.
He began his professional career in 2015 at the Teatro Victoria Eugenia, Opera Season in San Sebastián, with Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In the following seasons, he has been part of productions at the Teatro Cervantes in Málaga, Amigos de la Ópera de A Coruña, Amigos de la Ópera de Vigo with recitals and Rigoletto or Teatro Real de Madrid, at the Mozart Revolution Gala, among others, with leading roles such as Marcello in La bohème, Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia or Giorgio Germont in La traviata.
His symphonic and chamber repertoire includes works such as Fauré's Requiem, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Orff's Carmina Burana, Saint-Saëns' Christmas Oratorio, or the Kindertotenlieder and Eines
fahrenden Gesellen by Mahler, performed at the Reina Sofía Higher School of Music in Schönberg's version, among others. He has offered Song and Lied recitals at the Teatro Afundación in A Coruña, Teatro Jofre in Ferrol, Auditorium Martín Codax in Vigo, Espacio ECCO Cádiz, Fundación La Caixa in Zaragoza and Barcelona, Richard Strauss Sala in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) and Schloos. Laudon (Vienna).
He has made numerous premieres, among which the “Dúas cantigas” for baritone and orchestra by Xabier de Paz stand out, with the Real Filharmonia de Galicia under the baton of Maximino Zumalave. Also important current composers such as Miquel Ortega, Juan Durán (Queen Sofía Composition Prize 2018) or Borja Mariño, have written works dedicated to his voice.
Among his recent performances we highlight Gran Vía and Adiós a la Bohemia at the Spanish Lyric Theater Festival in Oviedo, La Bohème (Schaunard, cover) at ABAO where he will return next season, Il barbiere di Siviglia in San Sebastian, Rigoletto at the Cervantes in Malaga and Vigo; La Forza del destino and La verbena de la Paloma in A Coruña and at the "Mozart Revolution" gala at the Teatro Real in Madrid (Crescendo), La traviata and Luisa Fernanda in Bogotà, among others.
Next season he participates in the Esencias Gallegas recital at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, among other commitments.
