Carmen Solís stars in La vida breve with the Orquesta y Coro de RTVE

Soprano Carmen Solís takes on the main role in Manuel de Falla's La vida breve, which will be performed in concert by the Orquesta y Coro de RTVE.
Solís, who will perform the role of Salud, will be accompanied by tenor Aquiles Machado, as Paco, and mezzo-soprano Cristina Faus, as La abuela. They will be joined by Óscar Fernández, Juan Luis Gutiérrez, Carmelo Cordón and Esmeralda Espinosa.
The guitarist Juan Manuel Cañizares, the cantaora María Mezcle and the dancer Antonio Najarro will also take part.
On this occasion, maestro Guillermo García Calvo will conduct the Orquesta y Coro de RTVE. The programme also includes the premiere of the work Air in Light of Darkness by the composer Juan José Colomer, in homage to the victims of the Covid19 pandemic.
The concerts will take place on 8 and 9 February at the Teatro Monumental.
