The opera Boris Godunov, one of the most important operas in the Russian repertoire, is based on the homonymous work by Aleksandr Pushkin and the History of the Russian State by Nikolai Karamzin, and tells the story of Tsar Boris Godunov, who reigned from 1598 to 1605, and the struggle between the Russian and Polish people during this period. The performances will take place on January 14, 17, 19 and 21 at the Nationaltheater of the Bayerische Staatsoper.
