Albert Casals and Jeroboám Tejera in Roméo et Juliette in the Ciclo Òpera a Catalunya

Tenor Albert Casals leads the cast in the production of Charles Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, which opens the season of the Ciclo Òpera a Catalunya of the Fundació Òpera Catalunya, performing the main role, Roméo.
Joining him will be the bass Jeroboám Tejera, in the role of Le duc de Vérone and, completing the cast, Marga Cloquell and Yulia Merkudinova in the role of Juliette, Gonzalo Ruiz as Frère Laurent, Enric Martínez-Castignani in the role of Le Comte Capulet and Rocío Faus and Rosa María Abella as Stéphano, among others.
The musical direction will be in charge of Daniel Gil de Tejada, who will be conducting the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès and the Cor Amics de l'Òpera de Sabadell, while the production, by the Fundació Òpera Catalunya, will be directed by Pau Monterde.
The premiere is today, Wednesday October 18 at the Teatre La Faràndula in Sabadell, where two other performances will also take place on October 20th and 22nd, and from there, it will make the usual tour of the productions of the Fundació, stopping in Reus, Tarragona, Granollers, Manresa, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Figueres and Lleida.
