Ángeles Blancas stars in Rusalka at the Ópera de Tenerife

Soprano Ángeles Blancas takes part in the upcoming production of Rusalka at the Ópera de Tenerife, performing the title role of the opera. She is joined by Vazgen Gazaryan as Vodník, tenor Rodrigo Porras as the Prince, and soprano Magdalena Anna Hofmann as the foreign Princess. The cast is completed by the mezzo-soprano Adriana Bignagni, who will perform Jezibaba, and Carmen Artaza as the Second Nymph.
The Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife and the Coro Titular Ópera de Tenerife - Intermezzo will be conducted by maestro Paul Daniel. The production, by the Ópera de Tenerife itself, will be directed by André Heller-Lopes and will include a setting on the Canary coasts, an oriental palace and an atmosphere inspired by a magical world. This is the first time that this opera by Antonin Dvořák has been staged on the island of Tenerife.
Performances by Ángeles Blancas will take place on March 7th and 9th at the Auditorio de Tenerife.
