Ángeles Blancas, Best Female Singer at the Opera XXI Awards

Soprano Ángeles Blancas receives the Best Female Singer Award at the 6th edition of the Ópera XXI Awards. The jury has announced the winners who have stood out the most during the 2022/2023 season. Among the awarded artists we find names such as Josep Pons (Best Musical Director), Juan Jesús Rodríguez (Best Male Singer) or Juan Echanove (Best Stage Director). We highlight our artist Ángeles Blancas, who has been recognized as the Best Female Singer for her exceptional interpretation of the character of Kostelnička Buryja in Jenůfa at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville.

The jury for this edition was composed of Fernando Sans Rivière, Ana Vega-Toscano, Gonzalo Alonso, Pablo Meléndez-Haddad, Maricel Chavarría, Javier Pérez Senz, Alejandro Martínez Rodríguez, Mariela Rubio, César Coca, Richard Martet, Justo Romero, Victoria Stapells and Juan Antonio Muñoz.

The awards ceremony will take place in October of this year at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
