A new production of Aida opens at the Ópera de Las Palmas with Jeroboám Tejera as Il Re

The bass Jeroboám Tejera will perform the role of the King of Egypt in the opera Aida, at the Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas, on March 14th, 16th and 18th.
Aida is the second title of the Ópera de Las Palmas season in its 56th edition. Its plot revolves around an Ethiopian princess, Aida, who is captured and taken to Egypt as a slave. Radamès, the military leader of the Egyptians, struggles as he is torn between his love for her and his loyalty to the King. Thus begins a love triangle, since Radamès is the love interest of the King's daughter, Amneris.
Jeroboám Tejera will share the stage with María José Siri (Aida), Sergio Escobar (Radamès), Judit Kutasi (Amneris) and Ariunbaatar Gambaatar (Amonasro). José Miguel Pérez Sierra will be in the pit and Daniele Piscopo will be in charge of the stage direction.
