Wojtek Gierlach is soloist in Bruckner's Te Deum at the Lodzka Philharmonic

Bass Wojtek Gierlach will take part in the next concert of the Orkiestra Symfoniczna FŁ in Lodzka. He will perform Anton Bruckner's Te Deum with Ingrida Gápová, Joanna Motulewicz and Tadeusz Szlenkier as soloists. The programme also includes César Franck's Symphony in D minor FWV 48.
Anton Bruckner's Te Deum is a testimony to the living faith of this deeply religious composer. Composed to the words of the Ambrosian hymn Te Deum laudamus, it has a unique dedication: for the angelic voices seeking God, the tormented hearts and the suffering souls in purgatory. Bruckner, long appreciated primarily as an organist and improviser, gained recognition and admiration for this piece.
The FŁ Symphony Orchestra and Choir will be conducted by maestro Paweł Przytocki, and the concert will take place on 13 December in the Lodzka Philharmonic.
