Resounding success of Maribel Ortega and Alejando Roy in their Puccini Gala with the Sinfónica del Vallés

Following the concert held on 28 November on the occasion of the Puccini centenary, the critics have echoed the great work done by Maribel Ortega and Alejandro Roy. The newspaper Ara has written an extensive review in which it highlights:
"This first part was brilliantly closed by Ortega delving into the tragedy of Suor Angelica in Senza mamma. Ortega, well accustomed to verismo emotion, got a well-deserved ovation from an audience that had maintained a solemn, devout silence throughout the aria. [...] Later, the tenor and Ortega excelled in the Cavaradossi and Tosca duets O dolci mani, which much of the audience was eager to applaud prematurely, and Qual occhio al mondo [...] Alejandro Roy, tackling one of the most popular arias in the operatic repertoire, E lucevan le stelle, was rewarded with bravos, and María (sic) Ortega showed her class in Un bel dì vedremo from Madama Butterfly [...] an encore with undeniable pieces from Tosca and Turandot. For example, Ortega, who had already shone as Tosca with the OSV in Estonia, gave a magnificent Vissi d'arte, and Roy interpreted the always thrilling Nessun dorma".
