Mercedes Arcuri stars in Orphée aux enfers at the Teatro Colón

Soprano Mercedes Arcuri stars in the upcoming production of Orphée aux enfers at the Teatro Colón, a title being staged at this theatre for the first time. She will perform the leading role of Euridice, accompanied by Carlos Natale and Ricardo Seguel, among others.
The Orquesta y Coro Estable del Teatro Colón will be conducted on this occasion by maestro Christian Baldini, as well as Pablo Maritano on stage. In this adaptation, Orfeo is not the son of Apollo, but a humble violin teacher. He is relieved to be free of his wife, Eurydice, until Pluto, the god of the underworld, kidnaps her.
Performances will take place on 7, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 14 November at the Teatro Colón.
