Maribel Ortega, main role of Nabucco in Maestranza
June 18 of 2024
The soprano Maribel Ortega stars in the production of Nabucco, by G. Verdi, at the Teatro de la Maestranza, after 26 years without being performed at the Sevillian coliseum. She does so by playing the role of Abigaille, in which she alternates with María José Siri. Completing the cast, among others, are Juan Jesús Rodríguez and Damiano Salerno, as Nabucco or Simón Orfila and Dario Russo in the role of Zaccaria.
Maestro Sergio Alapont is in charge of conducting the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville and the Teatro de la Maestranza Choir, in a new production by the Teatro de la Maestranza in co-production with the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg and the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen directed by Christiane Jatahy.
The performances that Maribel Ortega will perform will take place on June 18 (today) and June 21 at the Teatro de la Maestranza.
