After the premiere, on July 24, of the production of Tosca at the Saarema Festival in Estonia, the press has echoed the great work done by soprano Maribel Ortega. Thus, Diario Ara highlights the work of the three soloists, placing emphasis on the vocal performance of the Jerez singer: "A great ovation culminated the debut of the Òpera Catalunya company at the Saaremaa Festival (Estonia). It was on Tuesday at the end of the performance of Tosca, by Puccini. The applause from the public was received by everyone, and with special intensity the three leading soloists, Maribel Ortega, Enrique Ferrer and Luis Cansino [...] They saved the burst of enthusiasm for the end, after evaluating the vocal performances; for example, Ferrer's in Recondita armonia, Ortega's in Visa de arte (sic)"
For its part, the newspaper La Vanguardia highlights the intensity of the second act, once again highlighting Maribel Ortega's Vissi d'arte: "the soprano Maribel Ortega in the lead role, the tenor Enrique Ferrer performing Mario Cavaradossi and the baritone Luis Cansino as the evil Baron Scarpia. All of them contributed to the success of a performance that was clearly in crescendo and that had its zenith in a second absolutely electrifying act [...] Maribel Ortega dazzled with 'Vissi d'arte"
The Diario Sabadell also highlights the participation of the soprano along with the rest of the soloists: "The triple purpose was achieved. The orchestra, after the enormous work of preparing five productions in only three weeks, was well liked. And the soloists gave an outstanding and wonderful performance, both the soprano Maribel Ortega (Tosca) with the tenor Enrique Ferrer (Mario Cavaradossi) and the baritone Luis Cansino (Scarpia)."
