Lianna Haroutounian plays Cio-Cio San in the Royal Theater's Butterfly

Soprano Lianna Haroutounian stars in Giacomo Puccini's production of Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Real. She will do so playing the leading role of Cio-Cio San, who will alternate with Saioa Hernández and Aylin Pérez. They will be accompanied by great voices such as Matthew Polenzani or Michael Fabiano in the role of F. B. Pinkerton, among others.
Maestro Nicola Luisotti will be in charge of directing the Teatro Real's Choir and Orchestra, in a production of the Teatro Regio Torino staged by Damiano Michieletto. In this case, the Japanese house of the protagonists is reinterpreted to transform it into a showcase dedicated to prostitution, with a large display of neon lights and posters.
The performances that Lianna will perform will take place on July 3, 9, 14 and 18 at the Teatro Real.
