Lianna Haroutounian as Isolde at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège

Armenian soprano Lianna Haroutounian makes her debut as Isolde in the production of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège.
This marks Haroutounian’s first performance of the iconic role, in a cast that also features Michael Weinius as Tristan, Violeta Urmana as Brangäne, and Evgeny Stavinsky as King Marke, among others.
The musical direction is led by Giampaolo Bisanti, with stage direction by Jean-Claude Berutti, in a production that brings together the orchestra and chorus of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie.
The premiere takes place today, January 28, with additional performances on January 30 and February 2, 5, and 7 at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
