The Sevillian soprano Leonor Bonilla has given an interview in the Diario de Sevilla in which she reviewed her professional career, from her initial studies in Spanish Dance and Music Education to her consolidation in the world of opera, with successful performances both in Spain and abroad.
In the interview, the soprano emphasized that success in opera requires hard work and dedication more than diva behavior, and highlighted the importance of Seville and its audience in her career. She also spoke about the personal and professional demands of living as an opera singer and her preference for Italian bel canto.
Bonilla shared personal aspects of her life, such as her musical tastes outside of opera and her stance on combining genres like reggaeton with opera. She also mentioned that she would definitely do a duet with singer David Bisbal because of his impeccable vocal technique.
