Guillermo García Calvo conducts La traviata at the Teatro Pérez Galdós

Today marks the premiere of La traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, part of the 58th Opera Season of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, under the baton of Maestro Guillermo García Calvo.
This in-house production by Amigos Canarios de la Ópera features a cast including Kristina Mkhitaryan as Violetta Valéry, Xabier Anduaga as Alfredo Germont, and Simone Piazzola as Giorgio Germont, among other artists.
Maestro García Calvo will lead the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra and the Opera Festival Chorus, while stage direction is by Vincenzo Sarinelli.
Following today’s premiere, the remaining performances will take place on May 22 and 24, all at the Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
