Great success for César San Martín in the revival of Sorozábal's Don Manolito and new zarzuela recording

The baritone César San Martín took part in the revival of the zarzuela Don Manolito, by the composer Pablo Sorozábal, organised by AGAO and held at the Teatro Gayarre in Pamplona. After the performances, the specialised press highlighted the baritone's great work. The magazine Ópera Actual comments that:
"The weight of the work falls on its protagonist, Don Manolito, performed on this occasion by Cesar San Martín, a lyric baritone with a long career in the world of zarzuela, possessing a voice of undeniable beauty and roundness who had no problem in defending his role with total solvency and professionalism."
For its part, Platea Magazine praises San Martín's vocal qualities:
"Cesar San Martín stood out above all others, taking on a role of great demand in all his registers [...] as far as his singing is concerned, he seemed to me the most flowing, rounded and expressive of the evening."
On the other hand, a few days ago the Ensamble de Madrid's latest phonographic production, starring César San Martín and Carolina Moncada, was presented on the occasion of ‘European Music Day’. The disc, entitled Los adelantos del siglo: transformaciones sociales en la zarzuela, features the same repertoire that was performed at the concert at the Museo Nacional del Prado on 21 June, accompanying the exhibition Arte y transformaciones sociales en España (1885-1910).
The album can be listened to on all digital platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
