We are pleased to announce the addition of Mexican soprano Zayra Ruiz, an internationally renowned artist who stands out for her vocal strength, stylistic versatility, and stage presence that connects with diverse audiences.
Her repertoire ranges from the Baroque to contemporary creations, and she moves effortlessly through opera, zarzuela, oratory, and art song. She has also developed crossover projects and brought Mexican folklore to stages in various countries, seamlessly integrating these influences into her artistic identity.
Throughout her career she has performed in Italy, Spain, France, Austria, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Japan, Guatemala, Colombia, the United States, Canada and Mexico, consolidating an ever-increasing presence on the international scene.
In addition to her artistic career, Zayra maintains a strong commitment to social causes. She has been named an International Youth Ambassador for Peace and received the Merit in the Arts Award in Mexico, accolades that highlight her work beyond the stage.
Her recent engagements include a performance at the Royal Chapel of the Royal Palace of Madrid and her role as Pastuchyna in Jenůfa at the Teatro de la Maestranza. She currently combines recitals in Europe and America with the project “Tanto lírica como folclórica”, a program that champions the coexistence of both repertoires and seeks to bring music to new audiences.
