Emiliano Suárez premieres Rigoletto at Teatro Marquina

Today marks the premiere of the first of three titles, with stage direction by Emiliano Suárez, that are part of the first summer opera season in Madrid, brought to the Teatro Marquina by Ópera Garage.
Rigoletto opens this new lyric season, in a co-production between Ópera Garage Producciones and Okapi Producciones, with a special version for piano and soloists.
The cast includes, among others, Javier Franco and Manuel Mas, who will alternate in the title role, Ruth Terán and Silvia Vázquez, who will do the same in the role of Gilda, and José Luis Sola and Quintín Bueno, who will both perform as the Duke of Mantua in their respective casts. On piano and musical direction is Miquel Ortega, and all this under the stage direction by Emiliano Suárez.
Today, June 12, is the premiere with additional performances on June 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23, all at the Teatro Marquina in Madrid.
The remaining titles in the cycle are Lucia di Lammermoor, with performances from June 26 to 30, and La Bohème, which will run from July 3 to 7.
