Didone e Enea nel giorno di Santa Cecilia premieres at Teatre Principal de Palma, featuring Gabriel Alonso

Baritone Gabriel Alonso will take part in the production of Didone e Enea nel giorno di Santa Cecilia, set to be performed at the Teatre Principal de Palma.
On this occasion, he will sing in Handel’s Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day, which will be presented alongside Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas in a double bill directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi.
The project brings together the legendary Pier Luigi Pizzi as stage director, set, and costume designer, with musical direction by Andrés Salado, leading the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears and the Cor del Teatre Principal.
The cast also includes soprano Irene Mas, mezzo-soprano Maite Beaumont, countertenor Christian Borrelli, tenor Francisco Fernández-Rueda, and contraltos Begoña Gómez and Susana Cordón.
Performances of this double bill will take place on February 12, 14, and 16 at the Teatre Principal de Palma.
