Carlos Aragón conducts the absolute premiere of El gitano por amor at the Cervantes Theater in Málaga

The Ópera Estudio de Málaga begins its journey with master classes and rehearsals to prepare Manuel García's opera, El gitano por amor, which will be performed on September 20 and 22 at the Teatro Cervantes in Málaga. The project has Carlos Aragón as musical director, as well as great lyrical figures such as Carlos Álvarez who, in addition to teaching some of the classes, will also participate in the production as a soloist.
The cast will feature young artists from diverse backgrounds, who have been able to benefit from the experience of professionals of the stature of Carlos Aragón, Emilio Sagi or the actor Pedro Mari Sánchez. This weekend you will also be able to enjoy a professional guidance masterclass taught by César Wonenburger, former Artistic Director of the La Coruña Opera Festival and the Coruña Lyric Season.
The artistic team of the production is completed with Daniel Bianco as set designer, Jesús Ruiz as costume designer and Nuria Castejón in the choreographies. The students of the Galamian International Academy will compose the orchestra that Aragón will command from the Cervantes pit.
